It has nothing to do with reimbursement.. Putting a patient on a drug that will make them less burdensome to the system even if the patient or Anavex pays for it.
Current trials are supported by clinical records and comparison to historic controls. They aren't uncontrolled trials either. Placebo controls become less relevant in a disease where nobody gets better long term.
