I guess DL could also just be the largest individual shareholder at this point. I haven't read any documents about how much the individual family members own. If they each own less than his 777M then technically DL could have effective control. However as you mention it certainly would've been smart of him to involve the others - an "all win" strategy. Just thinking out loud.
