wayne, before you waste time, although the deal was said to be closed, it has not been closed at present time. In fact I believe the last PR or Saturday's PR stated Ed Hayter was going there on Monday to finalize all details and close before year's end for tax purposes. Waiting on announcement from the company.

You are something else. The golf course property is in forclosure and is owned by a bank. If and when it closes, you will hear about it. Why don't you just leave well enough alone.

7619 Rosswood Rd., Pine Bluff, AR 71603

870-535-0136

Pro shop is 535-4100, greens supt., 535-7251

I don't know who the loan officer is at Simmons First National here in Pine Bluff, but if you want to call and find out what you can, try 870-541-1000.

When I went out to Rosswood and talked to the golf pro (the only one there, other than the clerk), he told me that Simmons had the note and they were current on it. As far as I know, Simmons is in control of saying go or no go, subject to club approval, which I understand has already been given. I would have thought the spinoff would have yielded plenty of money to buy that place, if they didn't have it on hand. But after the last few days' action, I suspect they've been selling the stock to get the money. Just my thinking. I don't know what Rosswood's price is.

Good luck!
