Update:

I just talked to the loan officer at Simmons who's working the deal. He was as helpful as he could be under the circumstances, but there wasn't really much he could tell me, other than that the deal has been approved by the club, and that the deal is still pending. I would have let him say more, but we laughed about that, and let it stop there. I already told him my name, and I told him I wouldn't spread his around, but that I would report what he had said.

But according to the bank, the deal is still "pending." At least that's something.
