I was sloppy but stick to my basic assertion.

Pro-nural, mesenchymal and classical were subtypes of GBM that existed prior to generic classifications. Subsequent research showed they do correlate to genetic characteristics (though neural did not).

IDH1/2 is an example of a pure genetic characteristic. It might be present in any of he subtypes. Same with EGFR, TERT, PT53 and who knows what else.

If you want to slap my about my language, fine. But I stick to my point that it (mes) is a different characterization from something like IDH which is specific to a gene. You can not assert mes is or is not IDH, or any other gene AFAIK.
