rose, Interesting article. Yesterday MedCram released a YouTube video
that essentially says Vitamin D-3 works on the Endothelial cells to
keep them healthy. From all that I read I would think a combination
of Vascepa, Vitamin D-3, and Vitamin K-2 mk-7 would be a stunning combo
to insure a healthy Cardiovascular system. Sadly, this will never
happen. There is no money to be made with Vitamins so they are not
being promoted. Unless or until Vascepa is owned by BP it will be
"laid to waste" by our crack management team.

Some very inexpensive medications are being proven effective therapies
for COVID-19. BP will ignore those and push for new, expensive
medications. Why doesn't the medical authorities recommend that
elderly and dark skinned people supplement with Vitamin D-3?
Everything I've learned about D-3 tells me it is essential to
good health...and those who are deficient do not fare well
with COVID-19 and those with adequate levels tend to avoid the
worst effects of the virus. If our medical authorities truly
believed Black Lives Matter...they would be screaming that Black
people especially should be supplementing with Vitamin D-3. So
far, they do not.

Nahmias and tenOever spent the last three months studying what SARS-CoV-2 is doing to human lung cells. What they found is that the novel coronavirus prevents the routine burning of carbohydrates, which results in large amounts of fat accumulating inside lung cells – a condition the virus needs to reproduce.

Large amount of fat accumulation inside lung cells, is this referring to triglycerides?

“By understanding how the SARS-CoV-2 controls our metabolism, we can wrestle back control from the virus and deprive it from the very resources it needs to survive,” Nahmias said, noting that it also may help explain why patients with high blood sugar and cholesterol levels are often at a particularly high risk to develop COVID-19.

The team then reviewed a panel of eight already-approved drugs that could possibly interfere with the virus’s ability to reproduce. Tricor caused the cells to start burning fat, Nahmias said. The result was that the virus almost completely disappeared within only five days of treatment.

8 already approved drugs, approved where, in Israel?

I cannot tell, since Fenofibrate work well, does this mean Vascepa will also?

rosey...

This is all news to me. I can not say they are wrong..but their logic is not clear..They state Viruses can not replicate themselves..By that they mean viruses require RNA or is some cases DNA found in the host cell to create new viruses..And that viruses require fat...Well by the same token that viruses require cellular nucleic acids. Viruses do not require fuel or burn fuel..So I am not sure how fenofibrates fit into the pattern..

We know from the famous three trig studies that fenofibrates do lower trigs..but do not lower inflammation to any great degree..

So I have no opinion..I guess we will find out in due time..
