The egos of these geniuses is quite large. They almost always have competing interests that are not disclosed. But they are for ego boosting and research funds rather than commercial ownership frequently. They want to be famous in their circles. They fight to be renown.
Those guys knew exactly what they were doing. I would not be surprised if some researchers seeking to undermine DCVax as a treatment would not be behind the scenes of many of the attacks on the company that have happened, at least on chat boards. I’ve seen it before with other cutting edge technologies that looked like they would beat competitors. Academic medical research is cutthroat. Doesn’t mean they actually laid a glove on DCVax, they just have to stir some manure.
But it is dated and I believe that DR. Liau has addressed these criticisms many times. They’re just stirring things as some are known to do, in their own petty way. Trying to distract. And take attention back indirectly to their own life’s work.
Belated thanks Lykiri for providing us with the Erasmus MC Cancer Institute Publication. Unlike other posters who were disappointed with the article, I left with the impression that with regards to the DCVax-L trial, the authors felt that the jury is still out and is waiting for the results.
I don't see anything negative in the authors' reluctance to pass judgement on a trial that has yet to come out with the final results.
