Biostockclub, well written thought. I agree with all except with one minor caveat for the example....Sonoma is a Covid disinfectant (not a treatment......important though, but still). If I look at KRTX and AXSM, I expect similar response for AVXL since it is in the same domain. If I remember right, the other two stocks were also in the early/mid stage trials.
I do love rest of scenario where AVXL keeps releasing other key results back to back.

Thanks Bio for your timeline! It makes perfect sense and for the record I am going to say August for PDD results so I will set myself up to be excitedly surprised at anything beforehand! Like uou, I do believe that he has always wanted to “roll out” a slew of trials to build off of each other to support more of a cellular homeostasis theory than an individual disease drug.

Thanks again.

Bio:

Thank you. Excellent perspective and strategic thinking. Anavex has multiple drugs, all with various uses. Anavex has several plans for accessing capital. There is no pressure to act hastily to stay afloat. We have the time, the money, and the drugs for many indications with blockbuster potential. All together, Anavex has many options for achieving great success in the long run.

In the meantime, if AVXL 2-73 obtains approval for one indication, it will be available to help some patients suffering from the dreaded diseases for which there is little or no treatment. Rett will not make us rich, but I read the recent N.Y. times article Gina Kolata wrote about three different families with rare diseases entitled "It will consume your Life": Families take on rare diseases." One is about a Rett Syndrome family. It will give us a great deal of satisfaction if some of these families and patients may benefit. Off label use will not make us much money either, but it may help some like those on this board who have expressed a desperate need for treatment for themselves or a loved one.

They're not being 'cleverly timed'. It's a biotech trying to develop an experimental drug and the trial processes and durations are highly variable. We start trials when we have the capital and resources and we get the results when they're ready. Like other companies.

I respectfully disagree.

If the share price were to retract to $7 as you postulate I would literally
sell every other stock in my Roths to buy AVXL and I'd have plenty of company.

Not because they have a crackerjack CEO or a fab R&D department but because they have unique situation.
They're running trials for multiple indications using THE EXACT SAME DRUG.
This is unheard of and would be a de risking element that would and could not be ignored.

Charlie Munger, one of my thought process heroes says "you only get a few fat pitches in life and when you recognize one you better go big enough to move the needle".

PDD approval would compel me to act on that advice.
