Unfortunately Capt.Beer is correct. The MC Plans only look to see if there is an approved bio-equivalent generic with the same active ingredient and if they have it on their drug formulary they will fill the generic. I wish it was not like that but that's how it's plays out the large majority of the time. I like your idea of attempting to get a doctor's to write the words Brand Vascepa for Cardio though.
