Take a look at the TSOI board for all clinical trial data re its “quad” formulation. One of the 4 components is closely related to the hydroxychloro derivative you mention, and is said to be free of the AE possessed by that derivative.

Show me just ONE RCT that clearly shows that combo works without steroids - I won't hold my breath waiting. And nothing is banned in the US, any doc can still prescribe that combo off label - all the FDA did was yank the EA they gave to HCQ for CV19 treatment, which probably only affects whether insurance will cover it or not.
