Cardio, please note the chart in your link is discretionary spending. It excludes non-discretionary spending like Social Security and Medicare which make up over half the budget. The percentage of taxes that actually goes to the military and other items listed is even less than 24% because a good portion of the budget is paid for through borrowing. Of course someone will pay for that...later.
