What happens in many of these accidents is that the driver of the vehicle believes it is a self-driving car, which it is not, and does crosswords while driving. They need to do a complete investigation of what happened and since all three occupants of the Tesla survived maybe we'll get a factual account from them, or not. If you drive a Tesla on "autopilot" you have to remember that you are still the driver and responsible for what the car does.
