I cannot understand why the US health authorities have not screamed the
message that everyone in a vulnerable population...people with dark skin,
the elderly, overweight people, and those who live in close contact
conditions such as the military, first responders, meat packing facilities,
and prisons ... should all be supplemented with Vitamin D. This is a
no-brainer ...yet it is simply ignored by the US medical leadership.
Vitamin D is cheap! Makes one wonder about the competence of our
health care leadership! What would be the harm of insuring that every
member of the active duty military get a supplement of Vitamin D?
