I hate to be a butt-in-ski but I fail to see what is so encouraging about the HGEN data.
8 of the 12 patients at entry were on low flow oxygen. one had already improved to only need room air by the time study drug was started (the pt then needed oxygen again before getting better). ZERO patients were on a ventilator at study entry or prior to getting study drug, so none were in truly bad shape at entry.
of the 4 patients on high flow oxygen at study start one progressed and required a ventilator (and still is on a vent at the time of writing)
one patient on low flow oxygen progressed and required a fairly prolonged course of high flow oxygen for about 10 days before improving
I'm not sure you can say this is better than placebo at this point IMHO
