JL, I hear what you're saying. I agree, if Docs are writing V for Marine, I would expect pharmacies to substitute with the cheaper alternative. I'm not ready to be as generous to Doctors to believe a whole lot of them aren't still in the habit of writing Lovaza for Marine. In the former case, we'd assume that despite Doctors knowing the dilitarius effects of Lovaza, that they would be knowledeable enough to write Vascepa, but not have the common sense to write DAW. It's not the same as writing Crestor without DAW, as we know Rosuvastatin is the same thing.

Now the generics Reddi and Hickma (H&R) are going to have to deal with those same facts and they are not going to do anything about them either..H&R do not have the R-I label indication.. Without that the generics are going to find they have next to nothing..The minute they try to go after R-I..Amarin will slap them with a patent infringement suit..

Generics will have their product at pharmacy. They will not go for anything. The insurance companies will fill the cheaper version. No indication is ever written on a script. And of course, doctors can prescribe off label. The lawsuit against grnerics is impossible to win.

The only way is to sue insurance companies, not generics.
