We all know why. The news is not the news in most news rooms. Some of these organizations should be embarrassed. Years ago it was a scandal when news was made up or taken out of context. Reporters would get fired. Now it is common place. These same organizations used to make fun of The Enquirer for phony news. Times have changed. And the NYTimes has changed.
