#10 RE: Tesla Fandom #6

I'd also like to highlight another breakthrough Novonix has been working on and recently mentioned by Novonix CEO Dr Chris Burns in an interview about Fast Charging.

The call it Extreme Fast Charging EVs

Pr Jeff Dahn released a new patent about Tesla's 1million mile battery, can also be Extreme Fast Charged too by the look of the Patent by Pr Dahn and his team at Dalhousie University.

Novonix has been working on Extreme Fast Charging for the last 3 years.

You need the purest spheronised graphite anode material in the world (PUREgraphiteanode) to Extreme Fast Charge an EV, coupled with the specific Electrolyte Chemistry, that where the Extreme Fast Charging doesn't damage the battery.

These two factors working together, allows the lithium ions via the specific Electrolyte to intercalate and deintercalate into/out of graphite electrode without creating dendrites andSEI that basically causes the total charge rate to keep falling to below the 80% mark (eg slippage).

You can see this chart below from a previous Novonix presentation, the Extreme Fast Charge rateof the PUREgraphite anode material allows even Tesla's massive 90kWh battery inthe Model S to be charged in 8min instead of 75min on the fastest Tesla chargestoday.

Imagine EXtreme Fast Charging a Nissan Leaf in less than 2 minutes instead of 40 minutes or a Kia Soul EV or VW eGolf in 2min 30sec instead of 45minutes.

Novonix has mentioned XFC or Extreme Fast Charging a number of times in its presentations over the last 2-3 yrs.

This is from Novonix's PUREgraphite's US Facebook page in February 2018.

Again they specifically name Tesla as the example...Reducing a Tesla charge time from 1hour 15min to less than 10min.....

What is exciting, is that Novonix's Major shareholder the St Baker Energy Innovation Fund (owns 19.9% of Novonix) also owns 100% of Tritium Fast Chargers.

These Ionity Extreme Fast Chargers are manufactured by Tritium, 100% owned by the St Baker Innovation Fund, that also owns 25% of Novonix....

this company flying below the radar imo

right now it is a very long shot that anything might happen here near term

but i have seen a few crazy things happen to others by taking a chance on these spec plays .....

i have been buying quite a bit / i have piles of cash to burn right now

so thought this would be my gambling play for this year / this sector is just getting hotter by the day

will be watching closely to see if i can get more of the cheapies 2 or 3 shares for a dollar is desired so i am placing some buy orders in those ranges for now
