LOLOL. Who could forget that confirmation hearing? How did that man ever get confirmed?! He's one of the five who voted to stop the Florida recount and hand the presidency to Bush while he was ahead by just 219 votes. So, by just one vote in the Supreme Court, we were stuck with Bush, despite his having lost the popular vote by half-a-million. And do you know that it was only about a year or so ago that Thomas voted differently than Scalia for the very first time?! In all the previous years he followed Scalia's lead every single time! He almost never speaks when the court is in session. He doesn't ask questions like the other judges. He just sits there and listens. He does write opinions on occasion, but everyone knows those could easily be written for him by his staff. And despite all the discrimination he must have experienced in his lifetime, he nevertheless joined Scalia and Rehnquist a few years ago in voting to uphold the Texas sodomy law. Had his side prevailed, it would have send that long-time gay couple to prison for having sex in the privacy of their own home.
