Y'know Raf, you just inspired a clear and salient moment of thought in my mind as to why there is a strong chance that the Judicial Council will find that Judge Du violated Canon 3A(6), if there is a real investigator who takes his/her job seriously:
"Your Honor, with all due respect, you just presided over a trial where you ended up absolutely slamming Amarin, just slammed them. Then after completing the trial you gave an interview and referred to their product as 'fish oil', and I am assuming that you did not have any other fish oil trials, correct, Judge?
Now I am looking at these exhibits submitted by this attorney, from New Jersey, I might add, and what he's doing here I can't even begin to guess, but these exhibits clearly differentiate their Vascepa product from fish oil. Maybe you didn't mean anything by it, and I am not accusing you of doing anything intentionally, but what were you thinking?
You're the Chief Judge for the District of Nevada, don't you realize that everything you say and do is subject to scrutiny? Even if you didn't mean anything by it, do you now see how this looks, especially in light of your ruling where you slammed them? I am going to have to find a violation, and you should consider recusing from the case if it comes back to you, just to ensure public confidence in the process."
