I’m not confident we will get the best vaccine available assuming any of the 100 vaccine candidates actually work.

This entire process in US got off on the wrong foot and has accelerated since then. No effective problems statements have been written yet. The politicians and the medical system establishment (FDA/WHO/CDC/NIH..etc) got involved and then (somehow) state governors got the ball. All of that happened before anyone actually studied the facts. Consequently guys like NY governor made a lot of political decisions (coded as medical root) as he completely missed the fact that old people and VA facilities (for which he is responsible) made up 90%+ of the deaths (covid+0). So he ended up killing a bunch of innocents while he stacked up political (who knows what else$$).

Sad to say, that model drove most of the rest of the US and no doubt made it all a lot worse than it had to be. So, yes some kind of vaccine will come out and a victory will be declared at some point.

We should have learned that fact based problem solving does not mix well w/either medicine or politics as it may identify the problem no one wants to have, them. Maybe WHO will actually get replaced, that would be good as they are obviously corrupt and incompetent.
