#284406 RE: CogDiss 1188X #284371

Lucent talk hijack: Funny, to me, that you mention Lucent, and The Boys from Bell labs. ... I said this in one of my first ever postings re NWBO. Recap now here.... NWBO reminds me of QCOM, circa 1993-1999. I was a young market maker/options trader, CBOE. I traded/made markets in a young 5ish (??) dollar (split adjusted out) start up, QCOM. Which “the street” hated. Well, really, the BT’s, big telcos, were enormously threatened by their new (old/lol,really) CDMA paradigm shifting disruptive technology. So, first “they” said it was old tech (is based on ww2 radio tech/that Irwin Jacobs brought back/revised). Then, they yelled, it doesn’t work. Then, they said, Jacobs is a snake oil salesman, then, that it may work, but if it does, it is ours, QCOM infringed on our (BT) patents! To include WSJ articles/other media slamming QCOM. To include law suits, to destroy QCOM. Years go by. Sound familiar? Anyway, same time, LU (Lucent) was on a roll, mid late 90’s). An $80 /$250 Billion !! market cap. Pure paper/no meat (IMO then). So... being very very very long QCOM options, always, I used to fantasize about a “Lu-Q” takeover. Why wouldn’t these super smart Boys from Bell trade their stupid high $80 paper, for the future of telecom, at dirt cheap prices. “Lu-Q”!, I yelled/dreamt. Well, they didn’t. 1999 Q went to a high of about $1,800 (factor splits), LU dumped to about .55 cents in 2002. Lol. Long story. About paradigm shifting tech. How things DO change. How the “market” manipulation takes place, how the “market” misses the future...How ‘others’ try to crush it. How little engines can, and do, do it. How the Big’s can be very sorry if they fail to crush/capture. NWBO, is QCOM of Bios. IMO. Sorry for long rambling down memory lane. Lucent talk always gets me.... Best...
