Algae sourced (vegan type) EPA omega 3 is available form multiple sources including I believe one that has an agreement with Amrn for manufacture. The problem is the efficiency of this production is not quite what extracting from a sardine or tuna source might be ( like Nissui Company in Japan). However with the number of people out there demanding Vegan type sourcing of omega 3 and perhaps fish allergies there is a definite niche for this outsourcing...

I know O3's, primarily DHA, are made from algae and have been for years - Martek is a local company. But we're not talking about algal O3's, we're talking about purified and esterified EPA that starts out as raw fish oil.
