I just went to check my bottle and the word “generic” appears nowhere on the bottle or the pharmacy sticker. Icosapent ethyl does appear twice, once on the front of the bottle under the big word Vascepa and also on ghe back I think or that parmacy label-can’t remember which.

Downtown., The label is correct. Vascepa is the brand name. Icosapent Ethyl is the Chemical Name or Generic Name. It's not what you think it means.
