Retail brokers like TD and ETrade will hold on to your old shares and not switch you over UNTIL the CEO has sold this down and diluted the share count AGAIN with Authorized shares until your 1 or 100 shares are worth NOTHING.
That is why experienced traders RUN whenever a R/S is announced.
Sorry. That's how they do it. You'll start seeing the share price drop. You'll be spitting nails MAD that you can't get at your shares to sell. You'll be cussing out your broker on the phone about it...and it will change nothing.
