on what date did all of the brokerage houses go "commission free"? Is this what caused the chart problem last Fall?

With investing experience you won't do this:

Never offer investment advice to family/friends or co-workers. If you're right they'll figure it was just luck. If you're wrong (more likely) they'll never forget how you cost them money.
