New infections peaked about 8th April in Europe and a few days later in the US.--longfellow95



I see your point but the U.S. peak is highly influenced by NY who has successfully collapsed the curve. However, when you remove NY, that makes up approx 1/3 of infection cases in the U.S, we haven't peaked yet. There are states now that are reaching new highs. Some of these same states are racing to reopen in spite of this. Arizona, for example, has accelerated its reopening.

Just hours after [Arizona Gov.] Ducey announced on Monday that he’s accelerating the reopening of parts of the state’s economy, state health officials told a team of university experts to stop working on models that project what will happen next.

The universities’ models had shown that the only way to avoid a dramatic spike in cases was to delay reopening the state until the end of May.

Instead, Ducey will rely on a federal model – one we aren’t allowed to even see.



You say we've peaked...but even the president last week reported that the case numbers will accelerated by June.
