The simple explanation is some (not that big) anticipation that their might be surprise moves in tomorrows news from Amarin.

key, strong earning reports after market hours from companies such as MSFT, QCOM and FB cause stock futures to go up a a few percentage from the close. Also run up to AMRN earning tomorrow morning and short covering justify the $8.68 after hour bid, IMO. It has nothing to do with any pending BO or leak.
