Mike Jenning's response to you was out of order to be fair to you however, have you considered that your comment just might have hit his inbox during a crisis moment? He was likely testing the merchandise that day then had some appalling news or other - and unfortunately you got the draft so-to-speak. For the greater good I would let this one lie and move forward without carrying this venom you currently have for him. Strike one and all that.
