I'm not disparaging the Chinese, but I am the ruling party. Reporting from today, stated that the World Health officials were alarmed at the COVID-19 research being done in Wuhan back in 2016. They were alarmed at the poorly equipment undermanned lab and believed there was a legitimate threat that the Virus could cause a world wide pandemic. They went so far as to send letters to congress to raise the alarm.

My point? Why not demand China cough up a trillion or two at the minimum. Even more importantly, nothing will prevent China from causing it again. You make them pay $$$$$$ that will get their attention.
