I wouldn’t be so hasty because there should begin to be about 300k short covering per trading day, in addition to, rising demand from other investors attracted to the fray!

The rise to $6 was not on significant news.

If shorted shares are the primary source of liquidity and volatility in this stock it would be a matter of the first pig to the trough getting fed.

If they need those $7.50s to close out a position short action alone could drive it to that level, IMO.
