#275064 RE: Umibe5690 #275022

A secondary consideration. regarding the deal he could not refuse, is keeping the benefits that you accumulated at Merck, if you come back to the company within a certain time frame such as one year. I know for a fact through someone I know that was the case for someone who worked for a company that competed w Merck. A couple of biggies of going back to your previous employer were keeping your vacation benefits and your defined pension benefit. Of course defined pension benefits don't exist anymore for younger employees such as Duffy but the other benefits, I would think, would be considered. Again secondary considerations but may have weighed in on the decision. Like a minority on this board, I can't believe a 'deal he could not refuse' outweighs a successful DCVax TLD outcome and I see it as a stretch that he's doing it in cohoots w NWBO and Merck. Hopefully, we'll have a clue by the time the ASM rolls around.
