By the end of the day tomorrow we will have surpassed all of China in the number of cases. We just overtook Italy. We are a social country that moves around a lot and are driven to succeed which means that we are willing to take some risk to make some money etc. We are supposed to be on essential businesses only in my state but it is business as usual and everyone can somehow find a rationalization for "essential". Even if you can't - nobody is checking or enforcing it. All these grand visions of churches packed by Easter etc. serve to only give people a false sense of "we're beating this". Once we surpass China tomorrow (who has way more people than us) it will be an awakening and the beginning of round 2.
Not trying to be doom and gloom, just need to be prepared. Carry on.
Thanks Mr Main. I think to be more confident as to whether they are indeed flattening the curve we would need to know whether they have started to test less. In which case it would be hard to tell.
