KCSVEN...Miracles happen all the time...there is no disputing that fact...DR. are confounded constantly.
Miracles do not happen out of thin air.
Defining Prayer as what you pray for happening at some designated time that you hope it happens does not mean prayer does not work...praying for a billion dollars to show up is probably not going to happen.
Prayers are not exclusive of needing something and asking for it..prayer can be thankful for something.
Having Miracles happen and not having prayer work is very hard for me to reconcile.

KCSVEN...
Please don’t misunderstand me. I’m not advocating that we should do nothing but prayer. God helps those who help themselves. God helps those who help others. What I’m saying is to talk to God. I do and I do it as often as I can. I get answers, I get assurance and I’m told we will get through this. I have faith. I put my faith in the Big Guy and at the same time I’m doing what I can to help. I don’t need a study to prove otherwise.

Be well my friend and stay safe and healthy.

Giving someone positive energy can definitely help their health, although I don't know if it could go as far as preventing an infection - most of my PTs do "bioenergy work" on me and my body responds to it extremely well, it's not a placebo affect because I never know when they're doing it. Personally, I don't think prayer would work the same - when you are giving someone good energy it's a conscious and interactive experience, the source of "goodness" is YOU - when you pray you're asking a god to send "goodness" to someone else, and at a distance - they are in no way the same thing, as one is active and the other passive.
