I am still hoping that the test comes back negative.

He has two young kids and his ex wife is a nurse so my brother may be on permanent babysitting duty for a while. I am not as worried about the kids getting sick because it seems like the young ones haven’t been affected as much, but I am worried that they may pass it on to my brother.

That is the biggest problem. We have left our first responders pretty much naked as to how to deal with this.
