See the 3 presidents before Lincoln to understand how bad things can get when idiots are in the White House. You can probably add Taylor on that front end but he took an early exit.
Then after Lincoln, it was Johnson and Grant. Almost 30 years of absolute stupidity with a bright light and a terrible war in the middle for 4 years.
We'll get through this. Maybe we'll get some form of health care for everyone. It seems apparent that if we believe in human rights a person should have a right to basic health care without first wondering if they can afford it. As I've said, I'm a conservative. I don't see anything more conservative than making sure your citizens are healthy. Maybe educated on similar levels? I'm sure these are things we could all agree on.
