Amazing that Chloroquine might work to stop the COVID-19 virus in its tracks. Chloroquine has been used for decades as a treatment for Falciparum Vivax a very potent strain of Malaria..It was used extensively in Vietnam and officers were graded on their soldiers adherence to taking the malaria drug...Getting Malaria was one way combat soldier could get out of Vietnam before their DEROS date..So many soldiers did not take their meds..

This is very big news..I did know about Chloroquine..But not exactly how it worked..Apparently as I understand it alters the PH (acidity) of certain membranes in the cell cytoplasm. Membranes which re required to synthesise the Viral proteins required for the viral structure...

IMO that makes it highly likely it will stop viral reproduction in human cells and is known to be safe from its long term history..The in Vivo trial should start right away...It should end the epidemic..They already know it works in cell culture...and clinically for malaria..

Plus the drug is taken in pill form and is dirt cheap...
