The virus is not taking hold in warm places like India (one billion people). The key is to reduce contact (Wash hands, distance) until spring like conditions are in place long enough to reduce spread in your region’s latitude.

Then produce vaccine before next October. One has already been developed for past corona viruses and supposedly works on this one.

It could give us a respite until the fall if it turns out to be true. We will have to see if that pans out if you’re in a country where many people are infected and in close quarters. WHO has said that may not turn out to be 100% correct.

So far, there is not a lot in some countries, but it is Summer in South Africa and I believe they have some cases and are not widely testing.
