Investment Scam Complaints
Investment scams often involve individuals or companies that are not registered with the Manitoba Securities Commission (MSC) and may not comply with provincial regulatory requirements. All investors are encouraged to check registration to ensure the person or company they are dealing with are registered to do business in Manitoba by checking the National Registration Search (NRS). Investors are also encouraged to check the Disciplined List and the Cease Trade Order (CTO) database.

The MSC also regularly updates its list of investor alerts & cautions when new scams or entities targeting Manitobans are brought to its attention. This is not an exhaustive list.

• Learn about the red flags of investment fraud.
• Learn about the most common types of scams.

If you are approached by a potential investment fraud or believe you may be the victim scam, call the MSC’s fraud tip line at 1-855-FRAUDMB, or visit recognizeinvestmentfraud.com to submit a complaint online.
