Thank for the post..The issue of using China is they have the patients..We really don't have enough patients in the USA to run a study...We don't need Vascepa for the young healthy patients that do very well and go home..Its the 2-3% elderly patients that linger on and are more susceptible to problems related to elevated Systemic Inflammation...That Vascepa can help...

To the input from JL that only China have the number of patients 'to learn anything' (to study the effect on the elderly and sick) - there might be some medical person on this board that have studied with Chinese doctor - from the most hit area in China.
The easiest and fastest way - would be to contact Amarin - if they would hopefully 'free of charge' donate the necessary Vascepa medicin - for to do the study - and then to contact the authorities over there (best through a known doctor that know procedures - who to contact) ---------------------
Just ideas from a Lay person - that know absolutely nothing about medicin - but as long as JL says Vascepa will 'close to 100% help these patients' that might convince Amarin that this is in fact a very good idea.
