Doma....and do we really KNOW IF

1. Secude doesn´t have a TPM enabled software
2. a third party SW is needed by Seagate to manage the FDE keys on machines without a TPM (Seagates DriveTrust)

Doma

Did not mean to convey any sense of cheap or price. I've read the Secude PR several times and can't even tell you IF it actually backs up keys. The word used in the translation is to protect keys... and you are quite right -- no price points have been established.

We will just have to see who markets what to whom at what price points. Frankly, I'd add to the need for the Wave Plug-in that IT guys MUST start picking up on the fact that Wave provides a standard SET of tools to manage EVERY aspect of trusted computing.

I'd counter Nick's point with the view that IT guys like to keep THEIR lives simpler and the system that interoperates and works with all the other parts out of the box is the one to buy"

Different folks will make different choices, of course, and at the moment all we need worry about is MAINTAINING, developing MARKET LEADERSHIP AND MIND SHARE. fOLKS looking at the developing TC space, I'll assume, will see a lot more of us than Sedude and possibly even Infineon from this point forward.Infineon has also not shown itself a player in the total infrastructure so far.

Doma, I thought only Wave can supply the proper key management for FDE? ZZT
