Hi V, Re: Example.........

Yes, that AIM holding is set with 10% Buy SAFE, zero Sell SAFE and 10% of Portf. Control for minimum trade size. However, as the holding approaches the maximum cash level, I switch to 5% sales in combination with 'vealies' to contain the reserve and keep it close to the target cash level.

You'll see in the trade history that there are a lot of 5% sales once cash has recovered. The Sell target price is calculated as though the trade will be 10% when reached, but instead I'll sell just 5%.

The cash max target is based upon something similar to the v-Wave and moves with the perceived market risk.

Hi V, Re: vealies in GNRC example...............

Here's the history on the vealies done along the way with GNRC:

Date Cash Reserve Cash "Target"
06/24/19 38% 39%
09/13/19 40% 37%
10/10/19 39% 36%
10/31/19 39% 35%
01/20/20 39% 41%

These were mixed with actual sales which kept the cash reserve in a tight range near the cash target amount for the perceived risk at those times.

Vitali

I think one other change Tom uses is to set SAFE as a % of PC instead of STOCK VALUE. I don't know how to explain the effect this has. Maybe Tom can expand on this.
