I know I was just providing an example to show they are stuck with Chanbond and there is no way out. It was basically another way of saying there is no real alternative that is logical to continue their business operations without this tech.
Gee think about having to explain that to your shareholders. “We decided to make our move to fiber optics due to litigation that would have tied us to ongoing royalties for many years to come. We are scrapping all of our existing and new equipment instead of buying out the rights to the patent.”
I would hate to face that mob after making a decision like that.
