Please do not put words in my mouth..I don't agree...The company got the FDA NDA less than two months ago...I think most on this board need to be a little more patient..Understand even if you have an MI...Your cardiologist is only going to see you on an annual basis unless there is an on going problem..
The cards at the 2018 AHA presentation were very impressed..15% thought Vascepa was possibly an effective drug before Bhatt's presentation.. 94% stated they would put their patients on V after the presentation..The biggest single problem is not physician ignorance..It is the cost of the drug which in most cases was Tier 4 (the most expensive) because until the recent NDA Vascepa was only FDA approved for very high trigs. As such it was in competition with Lovaza which was cheaper..Tier 2..
I believe most clinicians have some familiarity with V and quite a few of them are taking it themselves..Why wouldn't they...it cuts cardiac risk and has very few side effect and is easy to take..
Two months is not very long..Come back in a year and I would be worried..I am looking for great results later this year...
