This was a point of discussion on this board many years ago.
Then, it was determined that CVD would be the most lucrative indication
to exploit, regardless of what the prospects were for other possible
uses. One hopes, for the sake of humanity, that if or when AMRN is
acquired, the acquirer will have a way to insure that these other
uses of Vascepa are found out and made available for those uses.
(To bad our government, instead of wanting to help with such an endeavor
and some arms of government do help from time to time, others seem to
ignore the prospects and hinder development. For example, the VA
has ample reason to study Vascepa ( PTSD, protection from skin cancer
as military people spend much time outdoors and overexposed to the sun)
Yet, does the VA cover the cost of Vascepa for patients under its care?)
Vascepa may be the closest thing to a miracle drug that the world has
ever seen, except it will be decades before the world understands what
it is.
