Loans portfolio's are built into blocks and sold to others all the time. Now it seems I am aware of this more so than you are as I have had several loans I took out with small mortgage brokers(cheaper) over the years that ended up being sold to the likes of WELLS ect.
Wife was a mortgage broker for 6 yrs a friend owns a mortgage company and I have had 8 mortgages so yeppers I do understand just a tad about mortgages, plus we own a bank, or a darn good piece of it.
Not one single mortgage I took out with the original broker stayed with that broker , they were packaged and sold up stream.
