SHMP doesn't have the time to wait for the organic increase in the price of wild-caught shrimp. Even if SHMP generates revenue this year (and that's not a given, given SHMP's track record and the continually-moving goal posts), SHMP would be YEARS AWAY from profitability. And SHMP has ZERO FUNDS for expansion, including the so-called expansion plant in LaCoste, which keeps getting pushed down the road. And where's NY? Where's LV?
So investors are back to hoping for a buyout. And where I used to say SHMP would be stupid to pass up an offer at fiddy cents or even a quarter, I'm dropping that offer down to 20 cents. But once the August conversion happens, all bets are off. Once the insiders start cashing out...fuggetaboutit.
There's a reason the goal posts keep moving, and that SHMP is willing to spend now.
