though this is a difficult call given all of the self-inflicted wounds the company has suffered from of late.

I know what self inflicted wounds you are talking about, but they certainly didn't plan to fail on the attempt for winter production. Everything they said prior to mid December interprets like they fully expected to be able to produce this winter. I guess bucking the status quo can be viewed as a self inflicted wound.
