Spain's win ensured that it was, and will be, able to claim the cargo of wrecked Spanish ships anywhere in the world. If marine salvage companies want to survive, they'll have to work with governments all over the world, and will mostly end up just getting some money. Not treasure or as much as the treasure would be worth.
Odyssey Marine is apparently now fighting for a lot of silver bars from a US ship wrecked in WWI. We'll have to see how that goes.
