I don’t think materion has access to the 106c, which is lower cost. This sure seems like an automotive play. My guess, and it’s a complete guess, is that this is all about batteries.

My call with the Materion guys about 3-4 years ago was a real eye-opener and basically spelled out a lot to me that Materion was totally disenchanted with LQMT. Now, I don’t know if that was symptomatic of Hauck or Steipp, or a combination of both, but you’d think Materion would have given Eutectix the heads-up if they still believed LQMT was a group of muck-ups. In fact, those guys I spoke to at Materion are not only still there, but were both promoted, which implies their influence should loom large. Regardless, they both came off as nice guys and respectful as heck knowing I was really just searching for LQMT info. I give them a lot of credit for taking the time. And since Vijayvarjiya has been in command, Materion is a very different Company and much more sophisticated and cutting-edge.

I guess we’ll see...they’ve been quiet for so long with nothing to show at all, that this is, at least, welcomed.

Thanks, and great call!

I wonder how the rm would come in now from China. Eutectix’s HQ is in NJ, but their plants are in AZ and MI. Still can’t believe they acquired that unit from Materion.

Neufville of Eutectix has an impressive background - Yale, Harvard, and sold his Company to one with 21 billion in revenues. Crazy.
