#263033 RE: Lykiri #263005

Hmmm... that's interesting. I'd heard differently.

And then there is this passage...

The Bayhs then decided to seek treatment at Duke Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. The doctors arranged for immunotherapy, chemotherapy and 33 days of radiation treatments.

Duke is touting the poliovirus vaccine - and it doesn't appear to require the removed tumor, but maybe I'm missing something. They are testing it on recurrent GBM.

The therapy includes a genetically modified form of the poliovirus vaccine, which is infused directly into the brain tumor via a surgically implanted catheter.

I'm not sure if Susan Bayh would be considered as having recurrent GBM, as she'd been diagnosed with brain cancer previously. But I'm not sure if she'd been diagnosed with GBM or some other type of brain cancer.

Do you know when that post was written on her blog? I'm curious why the paper that interviewed her indicated she was getting care from Duke. Frankly, I think the only place she could get DCVax made would have been in the UK, as I don' think Cognate was making the vaccine at the time, and there was the whole negotiation, during that time I think, as to whether NWBO owed Cognate for keeping the fires running when perhaps they weren't?
